Ramadi, Iraq –September 25, 2018 –Anbar Investment Commission Chairman, Mr. Mahdi Al-Noman, met with International Finance Corporation (IFC) Country Manager for the Levant, Ms. Dalia Wahba, and Iraq Country Manager, Mr. Ziad Badr, in preparation for the Anbar Fourth Annual International Investment Conference (AAIIC 2018) taking place on October 17 and 18 at the Fairmont Amman Hotel, Jordan.
During the meeting, Al-Noman presented detailed information about the themes and objectives of the Conference, the investment environment in Anbar, and the key investment opportunities that will be presented during the conference. The discussion centered on how Anbar Province can benefit from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) expertise in the field of financing or providing technical and advisory support to Anbar Investment Commission in order to attract foreign capital and identifying the best investment opportunities that meet global requirements and applying international best practices in managing investment portfolios.
IFC representatives expressed their full support and active participation in the Conference through presenting a session that explains IFC’s role in project financing, economic development, and job creation entitled “IFC’s Role in Supporting and Financing Investment Projects in Anbar.”
